Haunted House
written by Robert Geddins

I just moved in to my house today
Moving was rough but I got squared away
When chains starting rattled and bells rings loud
I knew I'd moved in a haunted house

I made up my mind to stay
was a nothing gonna drive me away
I saw something that gives me the creeps
Had one big eye and a two big feet

I stop right still and I did the freeze
It did the stroll right up to me
Made a noise with its sounded like a drum
Said "You gonna be here when the morning comes?"

"Say, I'll be here when the morning comes
Gonna stay right here, and I ain't gonna run
I own this house, now I am boss
And it ain't no one gonna run me off"

In the kitchen my stove was hot
Coffee was a-boiling in the pot
Grease had melted in my pans
I had a hunk of meat in my hand

From out of space there sat a man
Right on my stove with his pots and his pans
"Say that's hot" I began to shout
He drank the hot coffee right from the spout

He ate the meat right from my hand
Drank up the grease from the frying pan
And said to me "Boy you better run and don't be here
when the morning comes"

Yes I'll be here when the morning comes
I'll be right here now, I ain't gonna run
I bought this house now I am boss
Ain't no haint's gonna run me off
